Insequa supported an Occupational Therapy provider in Western Australia to apply for accreditation with the Disability Services Provider Panel. As the NDIS System doesn’t implement in Western Australia until July 2020, this application was the process of gaining approval to deliver disability services in the State.
The client specialises in delivering direct support for people with dementia and memory loss and consultancy and training for their care provider organisations. They provide help to people and their families who are dealing with memory loss, enabling them to maintain their independence for as long as possible. They also work with residential care providers to use and teach the use of specialist therapeutic strategies that improve the quality of life and care and support for people with dementia.
The client was faced with submitting a detailed application to gain State approval of their services. With no experience in this process they felt it a daunting task and came to Insequa for support.
We managed the whole application process for them:
We have since heard that the application was successful and the client again state approval for delivery of therapeutic and specific support for people with memory loss and dementia.
